During his time at PBB, they were crowned National Champions in 2012 and saw a very large number of NRL players transition out of school and into fulltime positions across the league. Upon moving to QLD, he moved into a scout role for the Brisbane Broncos before going full time with the club at the end of 2019. In 2021, Matthew joined the Wests Tigers, where he worked as part of the recruitment team. His arrival at Marsden SHS has seen the school become a powerhouse, with the NRL Schoolboy Cup side finishing in the top 4 within Australia in 2017 and 2019. In 2020, Marsden became the first ever school to win all the top competitions in QLD across Years 7-10. In 2021, Matthew guided Marsden SHS to its inaugural Langer Cup Opens title. With the Dolphins now entering the NRL competition, he has taken up the role of Junior Recruitment and Development Officer.
